Why Does Nobody Stream These Awesome Lofi Gems from Minimal Bay?

Another song goes up on our YouTube channel — just like that. The title is, in its own way, a small SOS. Nothing dramatic, but honestly, so far my countless releases have barely made a ripple in the music world. With music out on every major streaming platform and YouTube, the massive potential audience is almost surreal — yet my play counts are less than inspiring.

I never really expected Minimal Bay to take the LoFi world by storm, but I did hope that the algorithms would toss my tracks into a few more people’s playlists or suggestions — especially with so many LoFi listeners out there. Of course, there’s a tidal wave of new music every day, and standing out is nearly impossible. I don’t have the time or resources for heavy marketing, either. Making and releasing the music already eats up all the hours I can spare; anything beyond that is just not in the cards right now.

Still, I’m not giving up on Minimal Bay — far from it. My second album is on the way, and I’ve got plenty of ideas (and finished tracks) waiting to be shared. I just need a bit of motivation to be more active again — here on the site or on Instagram. Honestly, I want to be ready for that moment when someone stumbles onto Minimal Bay and puts a track onto a playlist that actually reaches people.

Until then, I’ll keep going, keep releasing songs, and practice patience. They say patience pays off. And if not? Well, I’ve already built up a playlist of music I love, just for myself. Minimal Bay is already a win — at least for me.
